Banana Cake
I love to cook because I love to eat good food.
I like to eat, that's why I learned how to cook.
I love to read cookbooks and feel hungry before I even finish the book.
And so I'll end up cooking in the kitchen.
I read recipes and I like tweaking them and have my own version of the recipe.
Surprisingly, people who comes to my party or my children's party always leaves a good comment.
One of my guests, even told me to set up my own catering business.
But because I'm not in my own country, I guess it'll be quite hard to do that.
I admit, I'm not good in baking. Not quite. Not yet.
But when my husband took the whole pan of banana cake I baked to his office, I was so happy because people really liked it. They even ordered 120 pcs of banana muffins for the office party.
So, you'll be the judge.....
I'm going to share my recipes very soon.
Sinong martir?
Why do some people stay in a relationship even if they know very well that it's a "One Way" relationship?
Some people told me that it's for the sake of the children. Is it still for the sake of the children even if the husband is hurting the wife physically? And children witness the fight every now and then? Do you think it is still healthy for the kids to hear their parents yelling at each other?
My advice to women like this is always: "Love yourself more than him."
A woman should get out of this kind of relationship esp. if the husband is already physically hurting the wife. "Once na sinaktan ka ng lalaki, masusundan pa 'yan, kase alam niyang kaya niyang gawin ito sayo."
You've got to get out of this kind of relationship as soon as possible. And if you're worried about your kids, then take them with you and start working (if you're not working) to support them. And if you're already working, move on with your life together with your kids and make sure that they get all the support and attention that they need. Prove to your husband, ex-husband or partner that you can stand up on your on feet and you don't need his help.
More advices to come.....

What's for lunch?
I cooked 2 chicken dishes for lunch. Why? Just because......
The first dish is Chicken Caldereta (picture insert), and the other one is Pininyahang Manok (Chicken with Pineapple). I've been craving for this 2nd dish a few weeks back but I didn't have canned pineapple in my pantry. Last weekend, I didn't forget to throw a couple of small cans of pineapple chunks in my grocery cart. What's my favorite pineapple chunks brand? Del Monte, of course! Be it fruit cocktail, sliced pineapples, peaches and even tomato sauce, I really use Del Monte brand. Simply because, it's Del Monte!

been busy...
I've been painting and surfing these past few days. I've been lazy to stay in the kitchen so I didn't really cook something special.
But yesterday morning when I went outside the house, and a cool breeze hit my face, I felt really nice! And right away, I felt like eating something soupy and hot.
Something that we, Filipinos, like to eat when the weather's nice or if it's raining.
So I made a pot of arroz caldo that morning.
And you know how the rice expands later on? I had to add more and more water until the rice really expands. And finally, my big pot is full of this good smelling, deliciously seasoned arroz caldo. The chicken's so tender, almost falling off its bones. I was done cooking at around 8:15 am.
Then, I had to give a bowl to my neighbors because it's too much for me and my family. That arroz caldo in my pot didn't last too long. It was gone before lunch time.

About Relationships
You don't really have to follow a guideline to sustain a healthy relationship. What does men or women feel towards their partner varies in different ways. Women are pleased not in the same style or manner. Say, Alicia might feel better if her fianceƩ would take her out to dinner to make up for whatever mistake he did last week. But a dinner might not work for Isabel, who would feel alright if her boyfriend would drop by her place with a bouquet of flowers, chocolates and a bottle of wine.
There are also different ways if a woman wants to spark the fire with the man she loves. That, we'll have to discuss tomorrow.

Nuclear Chicken Wings
My family and I went to Ortigas Home Depot to eat dinner at Buffalo Wings & Things. They have signature sauces for their buffalo wings. From Rookie, which is the least spicy hot to Nuclear, which is, I may say "WHOA"!!!
Guess what I ordered???
NUCLEAR!
My brother couldn't believe I was able to eat my Nuclear Buffalo Wings. My secret??? I drank a bottle of Corona beer before I ordered. I am not a beer drinker so I guess I was a little bit out of my mind when I ordered the Nuclear. LOL!
